THE CHALLENGE WE ADDRESS

Across India's rural heartland, millions of families live caught between drought-prone fields and distant hospitals, between aspirations and absent opportunities. Land degradation shrinks harvests; lack of skills closes doors; poor health silently erodes productivity; and poverty tightens its grip across generations. Praanvi Foundation stands in that gap — not as a distant donor, but as a committed partner walking alongside communities every step of the way.

OUR FOUR PILLARS OF CHANGE

❤ Health & Well-being

Good health is the bedrock of everything. Through periodic health camps — covering general check-ups, maternal and child health, and critical disease screenings — we bring quality care to doorsteps that government facilities rarely reach. Our community health educators run ongoing awareness drives on nutrition, sanitation, and preventive care, ensuring that knowledge itself becomes medicine. We also act as a bridge to government health schemes, ensuring no family is left behind due to paperwork or distance.

■ Skill Development & Youth Employability

Talent is everywhere; opportunity is not. We change that equation by equipping rural youth and women with vocational skills in IT basics, healthcare support, tailoring, food processing, and the fast-growing green-skills sector. Soft-skills training and career counselling build the confidence to pursue employment or start a micro-enterprise. Our placement support network and self-employment guidance ensure that learning translates into lasting livelihoods.

■ Agroforestry & Sustainable Agriculture

The earth is both home and livelihood for our communities. We promote tree-on-farm systems — alley cropping, boundary plantations, and multi-storied farming — that simultaneously restore degraded soils, sequester carbon, and diversify farm income. Farmer field schools teach organic inputs, water harvesting, and climate-smart practices. Our community nurseries and tree plantation drives anchor watershed restoration while building a green legacy for future generations.

■ Livelihood & Income-Generation

Economic dignity transforms families. We form and strengthen Self-Help Groups and producer collectives — giving women and marginal farmers collective bargaining power in markets they once entered alone. Market-linked livelihood streams in organic farming, small-scale processing, handicrafts, and agro-based micro-enterprises create year-round income. Strategic linkages with government schemes, micro-finance institutions, and value-chain partners ensure our communities are not isolated islands but confident participants in the wider economy.

HOW WE WORK

Community-Led Design

Every programme begins with the community. Village committees and women's groups co-create, co-plan, and co-monitor all activities — ensuring local wisdom guides every decision and ownership remains where it belongs: with the people.

Capacity Building at Scale

We believe in teaching a person to fish, not handing them one. Farmer field schools, health education camps, and hands-on skill workshops build lasting capabilities that communities carry forward independently — long after a project closes.

Strategic Partnerships

No single actor can change a system alone. We collaborate actively with government line departments, CSR partners, academic institutions, and peer NGOs — combining resources and reach to amplify impact far beyond what any one organisation could achieve.

Evidence-Based Monitoring

We believe accountability is a form of respect — to our beneficiaries and our partners. Simple, clear indicators (beneficiary numbers, new enterprises, health-camp reach, tree-survival rates) are tracked rigorously, ensuring every rupee of support creates measurable, transparent change.

Praanvi Foundation currently operates across rural and tribal-dominant districts characterised by land degradation, low farm productivity, and restricted access to health and educational services. Our integrated, community-led model is designed from the ground up to be scalable — replicable across multiple states and agro-ecological zones throughout India.
